Lic. Alejandra Sio Panetta, MSc., Counselling Psychologist

Alejandra received her degree in psychology from University of Buenos Aires (Argentina) in 2006 and worked in drug and alcohol addiction treatment. Her client groups involved people with disadvantaged backgrounds, offenders and disfunctional families. Using appropriate theoretical models for each case, she joined interdisciplinary teams to reach an integral approach. Working with individual clients, group therapies and governmental entities of Buenos Aires City, she took part in research, with publications such as Fanton, M. C., Azzollini, S. C., Ayi, J. A., Sio, A. G., & Mora, G. E. (2013). Perception of control over cocaine use and stages of change. Psychology of Addictive Behaviors, 27(3), 841. She undertook training in Forensic Psychology, receiving an MSc. with Merit from Middlesex University analyzing the relationship between drug use, law-breaking and self-harm.
